All my Christmas quilts are officially finished and boxed - just have to wrap this last one this afternoon. This is my brother's. I finally got a picture taken of it. Pattern in the magazine was called pepper mill. I'm calling mine Windmill Nights. I did an absolutely horrible job on the binding. The landlord showed up early early this morning - i was still in bed. He's here to work on a stinky little sewer issue we are having. So I thought I'd keep out of the way working on the binding. I was tired and distracted and then too pissed off to rip it out. I just zigzagged over the worst of it and decided it was a decoritive charm.
It's 4 hours later and I've neither showered or pooped and landlord went to get an extention something or other to snake further down the line. At least another hour or two ... We have to do this about 2-3 times a year. The issue never ends up being with our line - it's usually a city issue that flows back in on us. I really should move but I'm way too lazy and cheap.
Yeah.... Now we can start on next Christmas!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the hassels you are having with your sewer but if only 3 times a year, well....not too bad...but it isn't happening to me either...so I have no say....Hope all is well now.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Quit Brooke!! Love the black and beige. Sorry about your plumbing issues. I hate it when my sleep gets disturbed. You and Greg have a joyous Christmas Season. Hope you went back to bed.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that quilt. Sorry about the issues at your place.......I'd be annoyed at it happening that often, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your sympathy on the plumbing. 6 hrs of work by the plumber/landlord and it was decided that it was once again - a city issue. So We'll see what happens this week! Not going to let it dampen the holiday.
