ALMOST READY!!

Thanks to all you wonderful bloggy friends and your donations, we are just about ready for our Holiday Party for the OARS Group (Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Victims receiving Cash Welfare Assistance). We are having a potluck meal this year- as requested by the participants and if it's anything like what we had at Thanksgiving it will be REALLY GOOD!. I'm thinking of making homemade beef and noodles - which is a traditional Christmas meal in our home. I still haven't heard if the quilts will be quilted in time. Or if I'll get them in time to bind them - but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If not they will just be a nice new years gift!.

One of the Caseworkers cleaned off her desk and brought me several previous years secret santa gifts that she's been hanging onto - I wrapped a whole box of odds and end fun gifts and even had a pre-gifting giveaway of things that just weren't quite Christmas or were just difficult to wrap (SMILE)! My co-partner at work, raided her kids toybox and we had a toy auction (we issued OARS bucks for correct trivia answers) a couple weeks ago so they'd have kid gifts - it was a terrific success!
