Well, I waited about an hour until I was no longer so mad about breaking the walking foot. I gave it one last snap-on and go.... and then finished the darn thing by hand. It has a few issues but this was my first full binding on my own. There's another quilt on my dresser that I've got one side done and then figured that was enough. I'm hoping my cousin doesn't mind too terribly. I think it's easier to put an imperfect quilt to use - at least that's the theory I'm going with until I get better at doing these things. LOL.
